The Kampung Bolkiah Religious School will have its new building which is expected to be completed in November next year. The Foundation Laying Ceremony for the New School Building took place at the Kampung Bolkiah Religious School Site, Jalan Kasat, 5th November morning. Built with an estimated allocation of 12.4 million Brunei Dollars under the 12th National Development Plan for the Ministry of Religious Affairs and allocations from Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, the co-sharing school under the Ministry of Education will accommodate the primary school session.

The foundation laying was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development; and Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education. The new building is built on 5.5 acres of land.
